Parksville, BC
Monday, February 27, 2006 at 02:48PM Arrived on Vancouver Island yesterday. We are at a resort in Parksville called High-Na-Mara...it is lovely. Today my day started at 7am (what is up with that?)...don't think I am used to the time change yet. Went for a walk down to the beach...ahhh lovely. Then went for a swim in the pool, sat in the jacuzzi for a while. Not a bad day and it is not even noon yet!
My friend Kim is back in the room resting. It is wonderful to be here with her...it is like a small holiday for her as well. Tomorrow I think we are going to spend some time at the spa. I am going to have a pedicure simply because the brochure says they have a 'pedicure throne'(Gary if you are reading this copy does work!). Kim is going to have a mud wrap and then we are going to chill in the mineral baths for a while.
The whales start their travels this week, so we might go check them out. It is magical here...already I feel a sense of calm and I haven't even left Canada. Things are looking good.
