Preserving Classes

We are excited to continue offering preserving classes at The Depanneur in 2014. Stay tuned for details.

Interested in learning how to preserve in the privacy of your own home. I am offering individual or group home classes. I will come prepared with the recipe, the tools and the supplies. You and your friends will walk away with the knowledge and some tasty treats. If this sounds interesting send me an email.

Lounging around

Well it has been 2 weeks now that Deb and I have been in one place. Hard to believe. No bus rides, searching for accomodation, etc. Sigh...quite civilized actually. We are enjoying ourselves. Our days are pretty relaxed. We sleep in every day...nice! Some mornings we start the day off with pilates, every morning we have a nice big bowl of fresh fruit, mangoes, peaches, pears, etc. We read, watch the monkeys, walk to the village to get groceries. I think we are the village celebrities now...everyone giggles and crowds gather as we grocery shop. Such a funny thing.

We have tv...so we have watched some movies as well. Cooked some meals, drank a few beer, etc. We have booked our ticket to Thailand. We leave on July 22nd for Bangkok. We will stay there a few days, get our visa to Myanmar and our ticket and then head south to Hua Hin where we will stay at a friends house for a week or so and then head onwards. Both Deb and I have mixed feelings about leaving India. It seems that just as we have gotten used to how things get done here we are leaving and will have to learn all over again in another country.

But I am sure we will survive.

leaving is hard to do my sweet.
My friend Adira is heading out to Thailand pretty soon, I just gaver her one of my adapters today. It would be cool if you hooked up or at least contacted each other.
her email is amagidsohn@rogers.com

She is the one that is going to volunteer with the elephants. We just set up her Blogger account this morning www.adiraschallengetrek.blogspot.com - i think.

This is her first time travelling - let alone, by herself.
I am not sure what day she arrives in Bankok, but it is pretty soon.

Chaingmai is where she will hang for 2 weeks, before going to the elephant sanctuary.

It must be so wonderful to be able to settle into a place for the time that you have. I am looking forward to heading to Calgary ( sounds so very boring compared to your escapades) at the end of the month and then to BC.

Keep posting, it is great to join you in your adventures... and you rest spots.

hugs and more
Cori
