Modes of transportation

Since mom has left Calgary, the following are the different modes of transportation she has taken in the last 2 weeks.

airplane (obvious)
taxi
skytrain
subway
overnight bus
longtail boat
back of a pick up
speed boat
sea kayak
elephant (my personal favourite)
tuk tuk
tri shaw
train
scooter (with me driving for 120km)
swan boat (in a park in Bangkok)
ferris wheel (not really transportation, but it goes round and round)

Not bad for a 70 year old, eh?

Hi Christine,

I've been watching your amazing journey since the day you left. I check it almost every day. I am in love with all of your stories but I have to admit that I'm a little more green when I leave the computer than when I first sat down. Envy green, that is. There have been so many times I wanted to drop you a little note but wasn't really sure what I should say.

My inspiration came two nights ago.

I read your last entry and then went to bed. For some reason the line about your mom being "up for anything we want to do" must have stuck with me. I had this crazy dream that you and your sister wrangled your mom into playing a game of blindfold tag on the beach. Of course your mom was the poor soul trying to find the giggle twins running madly around her. Come to think of it, it wasn't a beach at all. It was a really rocky shore. Big jagged boulders everywhere. Oddly enough your mom looked like she was having a really good time despite the scrapes, bruises and two daughters lost in the fits of laughter at her expense.

Cheers to your mom! What a good sport she is.

Lots of love and best wishes,
Mich
